I am not sure I would go through the hassle for non-native teachers. I'm also concerned that he'll develop a strong German accent when speaking English as the teachers are not native speakers and the vast majority of his classmates will not have native English speaking parents You're assuming the non-native English speaking German teachers have heavy German accents when they speak English.

I've made the mistake of assuming several of my colleagues were Brits when in fact they were Germans. I don't know anything about specific schools in Berlin though we got a lot of advice, mainly from TT, about school selection. If you plan to stay in Germany long term, then your child is probably better suited to attend a German teaching school, be that private or state.
